About the role Insight is seeking a Buyer III to support our Solution Integration Center (SIC) with a strong focus on inventory management, procurement execution, and operational alignment. This senior-level role owns assigned product lines as a business—balancing inventory health, cost, and customer experience—while partnering closely with suppliers, Sales, and SIC operations. You’ll also serve as a key escalation point and mentor to junior buyers. Key Responsibilities Own end-to-end procurement (PO creation, tracking, execution) Ensure accurate goods receipt (GR) and invoice reconciliation Partner with SIC to align inventory with build, staging, and fulfillment needs Manage and optimize inventory health (aging, excess, consumption trends) Develop strategies to reduce obsolete or slow-moving inventory Resolve complex escalations and drive root cause solutions Manage vendor relationships; negotiate pricing, lead times, and expedites Support ticket queue and meet SLA expectations Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings Mentor Buyer I/II team members and support team development Success Measures SLA adherence and backlog reduction Improved inventory turns and aging reduction Fewer invoice discrepancies and faster resolution Effective escalation management Process improvements that reduce cost or manual effort What You Bring 4+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain Strong background in inventory management and high-volume operations Proven ability to manage escalations and complex workflows Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in Excel; SAP experience preferred What you can expectWe’re legendary for taking care of you, your family and to help you engage with your local community.
