The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. This position will close on 08/14/2026. San Luis Valley Health is seeking a part-time Housing Assistant. This position provides support to the Recruitment Department by managing housing and travel accommodations for visiting staff in all departments. In this role the individual will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, and administrative and organizational skills. The Housing Assistant must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. What You’ll Need: Problem Solving: The individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and gathers and analyzes information skillfully Computer experience and/or training preferred with excellent word processing and spreadsheet skills. Quality Control: The individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality. Adaptability: The individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events. Dependability: The individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management Safety & Security: The individual actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses all equipment and materials properly. What you’ll do: Coordinates housing and travel accommodations for visiting staff, including hospital-owned apartment units, as well as hotel reservations. Programs and monitors door codes for apartment units, assigning unique codes for individual tenants. Communicates all travel assignment details to visiting staff and staffing company (when appropriate) in a timely manner. Coordinates cleaning schedule for apartment units and communicates needs to cleaning staff in a timely and efficient manner. Provides rounding at apartment complex on a daily basis and ensures that apartments are secured and grounds are maintained, free of trash and debris. Completes inspection of each unit prior to tenant’s arrival to ensure that the unit has been appropriately cleaned and stocked with supplies and that tenant’s unique door code is functioning properly. Coordinates with recruitment staff to ensure that maintenance requests are addressed in a timely manner. Maintains spreadsheets and tracking information for housing-related information. Provides clerical support for Recruitment Department team. Other duties as assigned to support the Recruitment and Human Resources Departments as needed.
