Physician Assistant - General Cardiology, South Jordan Healthcare

Job Summary The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a Physician Assistant for outpatient general cardiology at South Jordan community clinic. The role involves independent care and collaboration with physicians and advanced practice clinicians. Responsibilities Perform physical examinations and obtain medical histories of patients. Develop medical plans and prognoses based on patient condition. Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and coordinate patient care. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests. Initiate or recommend medical drug therapies or procedures per protocols. Document patient care accurately in medical records. Participate in quality improvement activities. Counsel patients and families on health maintenance. Evaluate and manage emergency care when required. Expectations Demonstrate clinical competence in cardiology, leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills. Provide care appropriate to the population served and perform essential functions of the role. Qualifications Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Utah. Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential within 30 days of hire. Preferred Certification in ACLS, BLS, NRP, or ATLS as required. Essential Patient‑Sensitive Requirements Must be immunized per CDC standards and hospital policy; exemptions granted only with documented medical or religious justification.
