Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Staff RF Antenna Cosite Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.The successful candidate will contribute to the overall development and integration of RF Subsystems, including analyzing performance, developing and managing requirements and interfaces, and verifying/validating all allocated requirements.Responsibilities include: Support development and integration of communications and other RF subsystems and components to meet platform mission objectivesRequirements development, analysis, maturation and implementation translating customer requirements into derived specificationsPerform Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) antenna analysis for source/victim (co-site) analysisConducting detailed trade studiesPerforming risk analysis and developing mitigation plans and tracking to closureCollaborate with engineers and program stakeholdersDeveloping and maintaining supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of workTechnical management of program strategic partners and suppliers, including development, acquisition, acceptance, qualification, system integration and test supportReview documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewsIdentifying/planning/executing informal and formal testing of subsystem requirements in lab, troubleshooting hardware in the labPerforming aircraft ground and flight test on subsystems to validate and verify subsystem requirement and sell-offSupport technical discussions with the customer and having daily interaction with management, external personnel, customers, and various sub teamsBasic Qualifications:Staff RF Antenna Cosite Engineer (T05):Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. (STEM) AND 8 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.Active Secret DoD ClearanceKnowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands)Ability to design, select and characterize RF components to meet mission objectivesExperience in Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) antenna analysis for source/victim (co-site) analysisExperience in one or more of the following:Designing, integrating, testing, installing, operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applicationsExperience with voice, military and network waveformsExperience with cryptographic implementationsExperience with RF antenna and component design and performance analysisDemonstrated problem-solving ability and data analysis experienceKnowledge of system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentationPreferred Qualifications:Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a close team environmentExperience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representativesDemonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skillsDemonstrated ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently and work in a self-directed mannerExperience in model based systems engineering using Cameo or similar SysML toolsExperience in performance analysis using MATLAB and Excel or similar toolsFamiliarity with Atlassian collaboration tool set (Jira and Confluence)Experience in supplier/subcontract managementExperience with developing supplier documentation, performance based specifications, and statements of workExperience building supplier evaluation criteria and experience in conducting technical evaluations, documenting results and selectionAbility to review documents from the supplier’s development effort and support supplier technical interchange meetings and design reviewActive DoD Top Secret ClearancePrimary Level Salary Range: $152,900.00 - $229,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
