Job Title: Manufacturing Operator Job Description

This is a six-week assignment that has the potential to transition into a contract-to-hire role, depending on business needs and individual performance. The role is physically demanding and requires individuals to reach machines while standing, with a height consideration above 5 feet 5 inches.

• Report to the lead for duty assignments.
• Set up, operate, and clean machinery throughout the day.
• Move drums around every 15 minutes and conduct quality checks on tablets every 15 to 30 minutes.
• Fill hoppers with powder to feed into compression machines.
• Perform tasks involving standing, pulling, lifting, and scooping powder.
• Ensure tablets are uniform, free of cracks, and holding together.
• Complete checklists and maintain documentation.
• Ensure press is clean and properly set up before starting a batch.
• Label drums filled with tablets.
• Check and adjust tablet weights, hardness, and size to maintain adherence to batch instructions.
• Clean and lubricate presses and install punches and dies.
• Maintain sanitation practices and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Conduct friability tests on all products.
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Support other departments as assigned.

• Experience with GMP compliance.
• Background in pharmaceutical, food, or medical device manufacturing.
• Ability to work with FDA regulations.
• Proficient in machine operation and compounding.
• Capability to work with metrics and document in real-time.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and as part of a team.

• Experience in compression and wet granulation.
• Knowledge of using instruments like hardness testers and thickness gauges.

This is a Contract position based out of Hayward, CA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Hayward,CA.
