Telemetry Technician

Marshfield Clinic – Archive is seeking a detail-oriented Telemetry Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within Marshfield Children’s, a Wisconsin-based pediatric care provider in a large, integrated health system. In this role, you will play a key part in our collaborative, patient-first culture by providing continuous cardiac and physiological monitoring for pediatric patients across inpatient units. Working closely with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams, you will apply and maintain telemetry leads, ensure accurate signal quality, and monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs from centralized monitoring stations. You will promptly recognize and report arrhythmias, changes in patient status, and alarm conditions according to established protocols, escalating concerns to clinical staff to support timely interventions and safe, effective care for children and families. Responsibilities include accurately identifying and documenting cardiac rhythms, maintaining real-time and trend reports, printing and interpreting rhythm strips per policy, and entering clear, concise notes into the electronic medical record. You will follow infection prevention and safety procedures when handling equipment, assist with troubleshooting monitors and leads, and collaborate with biomedical and IT teams to resolve technical issues. The Telemetry Technician will participate in orientation and ongoing education, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and support a culture of continuous learning and process enhancement. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent concentration in a fast-paced environment, effective communication, and the ability to work harmoniously with nurses, physicians, and support staff.
