Cashier

Cashier PositionWe are seeking a reliable and friendly cashier to join our team at a fast-paced, high-volume family entertainment center. In this role, you will be responsible for handling customer transactions, managing the cash register, and providing excellent customer service to all guests. In addition to your cashier duties, you will also be responsible for taking orders, preparing food, and ensuring the restaurant is clean and organized at all times. This position includes commissions based on sales of race packages and tips when assigned to the Paddock lounge.Job Responsibilities:Greet customers as they arrive and process their orders through the cash registerRespond to customer inquiries and complaints in person and/or over the phone in a friendly and professional mannerHandle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficientlyMaintain accurate records of all cash transactions and reconcile cash register at the end of each shiftTake orders, prepare food, and ensure timely delivery to customersKeep the paddock lounge clean and organized at all times, including stocking, sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfacesCoordinate and schedule races precisely and efficientlyUpsell menu items and promote specials to increase salesPromote and sell race packages to customers, earning commission based on cashier percentagesAssist with other duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 25 poundsAbility to bend, stoop, and reachJob Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of agePrevious experience in a cash handling or customer service role preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-pacedMust be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysWillingness to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and Alcohol Handlers Card within a reasonable timeframe after being hiredThis is a full-time or part-time position, depending on business needs.
