Audit Manager Public Accounting
A top regional public accounting firm is seeking an Audit Manager to join its growing team. The firm serves a diverse client base across industries including real estate, manufacturing, government, and not-for-profit organizations. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical audit expertise, proven leadership experience, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and review multiple audit engagements simultaneously
- Manage and mentor staff across concurrent engagements
- Review audit workpapers and ensure overall quality and compliance with professional standards
- Coordinate directly with clients to address audit findings and engagement needs
- Ensure deliverables are clear, accurate, and aligned with firm standards
- Assist in developing audit methodology, training, and internal resources
- Manage engagement timelines and budgets effectively
Qualifications
- CPA required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience in external audit
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Demonstrated experience supervising and developing staff
- Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with private and publicly traded companies; FCC and/or HUD experience is a plus
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
