Sr. Software Architect

Sr. Software Architect Location: Scottsdale, AZ (On-Site) Employment Type: Full-Time A well-established organization serving small and mid-sized businesses nationwide is launching a major technology initiative to build a proprietary SaaS platform that will transform how it serves customers and operates internally. The long-term vision is to create a comprehensive, end-to-end solution that can ultimately be offered to other organizations as a standalone product, creating an entirely new revenue stream. This is a unique opportunity to architect a platform from the ground up. The Sr. Software Architect will play a key role in defining the technical vision, selecting technologies, designing scalable systems, and helping bring a new product to market. What You'll Do Lead the architecture and design of a new SaaS platform from inception Define technology standards, frameworks, and best practices Design scalable, secure, cloud-based applications and services Build and oversee API and integration strategies Partner with executive leadership and stakeholders to translate business goals into technical solutions Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and technology partners Drive the adoption of AI, agentic solutions, and workflow automation technologies Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle What We're Looking For 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience Proven success designing and delivering SaaS products Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Deep understanding of APIs, integrations, and modern software architecture Experience working with AI-powered, agentic, and API-driven solutions Track record of managing multiple vendors and external technology partners Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical and business stakeholders Preferred Experience Insurance, healthcare, financial services, or other regulated industries Building products from scratch or leading greenfield development initiatives Commercializing internal software into customer-facing SaaS products Why Consider This Opportunity?
