Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bank Reconciliation Analyst to support daily reconciliation and reporting activities within a fast-paced financial operations environment. This role focuses on performing bank reconciliations, resolving discrepancies, monitoring aged reconciling items, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience handling reconciliation processes in a banking or financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements against source systems and internal records
• Identify, investigate, and resolve reconciliation and reporting discrepancies in a timely manner
• Prepare monthly aging reports for outstanding reconciling items
• Monitor aged reconciling items exceeding established thresholds and escalate unresolved items to management according to escalation procedures
• Coordinate with internal departments and stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and outstanding issues
• Ensure reconciliation activities and reporting are completed in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and audit requirements
• Maintain accurate reconciliation documentation and supporting records for audit and examination purposes
• Support operational controls and risk mitigation processes related to reconciliation activities

Required Qualifications

• Experience performing bank reconciliations or financial reconciliations
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently
• Experience preparing reconciliation and aging reports
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Banking or financial services industry experience
• Experience working with reconciliation systems and financial reporting tools
• Knowledge of operational controls, audit support, and compliance procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting functions
