Sourcing Specialist

Atlanta, Georgia, United States (Hybrid) Strategic Sourcing | Direct Materials Columbia Search Partners is supporting a rapidly growing industrial manufacturing organization in the search for an experienced Sourcing Specialist to own direct material cost reduction across fabrications, machining, castings, and assemblies. Hybrid role based in our Atlanta office, with periodic travel to our Knoxville, TN facility. This is not an entry-level role. We're looking for someone with real ownership of supplier negotiations, RFQ-to-award, and cost savings on direct materials, ready to step in and contribute immediately in a fast-moving, still-forming organization. What You'll Do Own sourcing and supplier management for fabricated metal parts, machined components, castings, electronics, and assemblies Develop, qualify, and evaluate suppliers to hit the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery Lead quote analysis, negotiate pricing and terms, and manage purchase orders through the full procurement lifecycle Partner closely with engineering, quality, and operations to keep supplier performance aligned with production Drive cost-reduction initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and supply reliability Support continuous improvement through data analysis and supplier feedback loops What You'll Bring 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management, ideally in metal fabrication, machining, castings, or industrial components A track record of measurable cost savings and supplier performance improvement Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment that is still building out its systems and processes Willingness to travel periodically to Knoxville, TN Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience Compensation $70,000 to $95,000 base, depending on experience.
