Regional Medical Scientific Director, Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension -- Central Plains Territory

Merck seeks a Regional Medical Scientific Director for Cardiopulmonary and Pulmonary Hypertension in the Central Plains territory. The role involves building peer relationships with external scientific leaders, supporting clinical research initiatives, and providing disease expertise to inform company strategy and research programs.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain collaborative relationships with scientific leaders and investigators in assigned territory
Conduct scientific discussions and serve as primary R&D/Medical Affairs contact for external partners
Facilitate data generation activities including sponsored trials and investigator study programs
Communicate external insights, clinical trends, and stakeholder feedback to internal strategy teams
Represent R&D division at scientific conferences and contribute to post-congress analysis and debriefs

Requirements

MD, PhD, PharmD, or APP credential with pulmonary hypertension expertise
Established relationships with regional and national scientific leaders and clinical investigators
In-depth knowledge of pulmonary hypertension disease state and therapeutic landscape
Experience conducting peer-level scientific discussions and medical information exchange
Ability to identify and engage potential investigators for clinical research programs
Residence within Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, or Iowa
