Operations Supervisor

Job Summary The Operations Supervisor will assist in managing inventories and directing daily operations, ensuring that Terminal targets are met in terms of cost, quality, and time. Supervisory Duties/Responsibilities Assist in overseeing the daily workflow of the Terminal. Provide constructive and timely feedback to drivers and yard staff. Job Duties/Responsibilities Resolve problems concerning transportation of trucks, driver issues, terminal staff issues and customer issues. Maintain metrics, reports, documentation, driver records, and staff training on safety. Monitor driver productivity while ensuring drivers are following regulatory or legal requirements with all state and federal laws. Issue notices and recommend corrective actions when infractions or problems are found. Plan or implement improvements to increase the safety of the company staff, reducing accidents and injuries. Communicate delivery information to management to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of delivery. Respond to driver questions and concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. 3 years’ experience with in operations related field in preferred. Physical Requirements Must be able to traverse the Terminal facility. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
