Job Description

This role focuses on preparing and packaging automotive belts for shipment to dealerships and aftermarket customers. The position combines light warehouse work with basic computer and scanning tasks in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment, ensuring products are accurately labeled, inspected, and sleeved for distribution.

Responsibilities

• Pick belt orders from warehouse shelves and pallets according to work instructions.
• Retrieve belts from manufacturer packaging and transport them to the work station, including lifting boxes weighing 50–100 pounds.
• Verify product information and order details using the TWL computer system.
• Use barcode scanners to scan labels and accurately apply shipping and product labels.
• Inspect belts for obvious defects or damage and ensure only quality products are packaged.
• Fold and place belts into the appropriate sleeves based on product specifications.
• Bundle sleeved belts and pack them into shipping containers, maintaining organization throughout the packaging process.
• Use a pallet jack as needed to safely move materials around the warehouse.
• Follow all written work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area, supporting general cleaning and basic housekeeping tasks.
• Work independently after training while meeting production and accuracy expectations.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform basic computer functions, including navigating simple software systems.
• Ability to use barcode scanners to read and apply labels accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product defects and inconsistencies.
• Ability to follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Capability to lift and move boxes weighing 50–100 pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to work independently after training while maintaining productivity and accuracy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, packaging, picking, or production environments preferred but not required.
• Experience in general labor, loading, assembly, or construction is beneficial.
• Experience with packing, packaging, and lifting boxes is an advantage.
• Familiarity with general production processes and use of pallet jacks is helpful.

Work Environment

The role is based in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment. The pace is fast, with regular movement around the facility and frequent lifting of boxes. Fans are available during warmer months and heaters are provided during colder months to improve comfort. Work is performed on a day shift schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, offering consistent hours. The environment includes standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, shelving, and packing stations, with an emphasis on safety, organization, and adherence to work instructions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bowling Green, KY.

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Bowling Green,KY.
