Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand each patient’s unique history, strengths, and challenges.

  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to trauma recovery, incorporating evidence-based practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to explore their trauma, learn coping strategies, and promote healing within a supportive community.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care pathways for patients, enabling comprehensive support and intervention.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support, effectively managing trauma-related emergencies with empathy and efficiency.

  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, facilitating understanding and equipping them with coping strategies to navigate their journeys.

  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring that all patient interactions and treatment progress are accurately recorded.

  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously improve your therapeutic interventions and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals affected by a range of trauma-related disorders, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will engage with a diverse client demographic, providing them with empathetic care and understanding as they navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
  • \n
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • \n
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, combined with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to patient care.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with telehealth platforms is essential for maintaining accurate records and providing seamless care.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a focus on trauma therapy and related therapeutic practices.

  • Experience facilitating trauma-focused therapies and interventions that foster resilience in patients.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
