Job Title: Registered Nurse - Dialysis Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: In-Patient Dialysis Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year of inpatient dialysis experience required. First-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience in acute care. License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, SCD, CDN or CNN (preferred) Must-Have: Must be able to travel between facilities and access fistulas and dialysis catheters. Ability to work independently and autonomously is essential. Description: This position involves providing care for hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis patients. Accessing dialysis catheters and fistulas is required. Critical thinking skills are necessary to ensure patient safety and quality care. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:3 in inpatient pods and 1:1 on units. Travelers will float between multiple facilities, with frequent notifications regarding which facility to report to. The work requires a commitment to a flexible schedule, including weekend rotations and call shifts. Orientation consists of a total of 2 days at various facilities. There will be a call requirement of 5-6 shifts per schedule, with some calls occurring on holidays. Scrubs are to be pewter in color, and T-shirts must be gray, white, or black with the appropriate monogram. Badges must be worn visibly at all times while on duty.
