Phlebotomist

Shift time is 3AM to 7AM. Responsibilities Assists in the technical and clerical aspects of the Laboratory department. Manages collection, acceptance, receipt and processing of all specimens into the Laboratory department(s). Attends to samples received through pneumatic tube stations. Performs specimen collection, including venipuncture and capillary puncture. Completes computerized registration of patient samples using the Laboratory Information System (LIS). Performs basic quality control steps, such as sterility testing and new lot qualification, and manages reagent and disposable inventory. Qualifications Training and Certification in Phlebotomy or prior phlebotomy experience is required.
