Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Position Type: Permanent
Shift: Days (Rotating Weekends): 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / Nights (Rotating Weekends): 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Job Summary

A leading acute care hospital in Florida is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Med-Surg Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join its patient-focused healthcare team. The RN will provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients who are ill, injured, or recovering while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.

The ideal candidate will independently assess patient conditions, administer treatments, support patient safety initiatives, and educate patients and families throughout the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collect relevant health data
• Analyze assessment findings to determine patient care needs and nursing diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and expected outcomes
• Advocate for patient safety and high-quality clinical care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Ensure appropriate and efficient use of supplies, equipment, and resources
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and procedures
• Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care Med-Surg RN experience
• Active Florida RN License or eligible multistate compact license
• Compact license holders must obtain Florida RN licensure within 60 days of relocation
• Current BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS Certification preferred upon hire and required within 6 months
• BSN preferred

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio

• Typical ratio: 1:5 – 1:6

CompensationHourly Pay Range

• 1 year experience: $30.89/hour
• 5 years’ experience: $35.02/hour
• 10 years’ experience: $39.21/hour
• 15 years’ experience: $43.25/hour

Sign-On Bonus

• $15,000 – Days
• $20,000 – Nights
