Salary: $73,000 - 76,000 per year Requirements:

• At least five years of information security engineering experience, or equivalent experience gained through work, consulting, training, military service, or education.
• At least five years of hands-on experience with Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption.
• At least five years of scripting or automation experience with Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, JavaScript, UiPath, or similar tools.
• At least five years of Unix, Linux, or Windows systems administration experience, including operating system troubleshooting, hardening, tuning, and performance optimization.
• At least five years of experience with encryption or tokenization technologies, along with strong knowledge of enterprise key management and cryptographic technologies.
• At least three years of experience building, administering, or supporting hardware security modules or security appliances.
• Advanced knowledge of cryptographic protocols and algorithms, and familiarity with format-preserving encryption, tokenization, and transparent data encryption.
• Experience supporting applications on Linux and Windows servers and implementing infrastructure, security patch, software version, appliance, and HSM upgrades.
• Experience with change and incident management in medium- to large-enterprise environments, as well as Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in a complex, fast-paced information security or technology organization; conducting technical product assessments and developing implementation plans; and mentoring junior engineers.
• Preferred: experience with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or similar automation tools, and designing synthetic transactions for application or infrastructure monitoring.
• Preferred: CISSP, GIAC, or comparable security certification; cloud certification such as AZ-900, MS-900, or higher; and knowledge of banking or financial services.
• Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines; ability to create technical standards, documentation, and repeatable engineering practices.

• Design, implement, administer, and support Thales CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption environments.
• Lead CipherTrust engineering initiatives as a technical subject matter expert.
• Diagnose complex issues involving encryption, key management, operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Support Linux, Unix, and Windows servers, including hardening, tuning, patching, and performance optimization.
• Build, configure, administer, and support hardware security modules and security appliances.
• Develop and maintain automation using scripting and automation tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, JavaScript, VBScript, or UiPath.
• Support infrastructure, firmware, security patch, software version, and HSM upgrades.
• Lead testing, implementation planning, change management, incident management, and production support activities.
• Create implementation stories, technical documentation, standards, operating procedures, and best practices.
• Support encryption, tokenization, format-preserving encryption, transparent data encryption, and cryptographic key management initiatives.
• Work with application, infrastructure, architecture, operations, and security teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to strengthen team capabilities and engineering maturity.
• Participate in Agile Scrum or Kanban ceremonies and coordinate multiple deliverables on aggressive timelines.
• Assess complex information security challenges and recommend scalable, compliant, and sustainable solutions.

We are seeking a senior information security engineer to support complex, large-scale efforts to protect sensitive enterprise data across Linux and Windows systems, applications, infrastructure, and security appliances. CipherTrust Key Manager and CipherTrust Transparent Encryption are central to our unstructured data encryption strategy. The role is a 12+ month engagement based in Columbus, Ohio; Loyalty Circle; Chandler, Arizona; or Charlotte, North Carolina. The listed pay range is $73–$76 per hour on W-2. Compensation depends on factors such as role scope and location, market labor costs, and the candidates skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
