Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking aqualified PACU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient recovery, monitoring vitals, and ensuring safe post-anesthesia outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and postoperative care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout recovery.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in electronic health records.
• Follow all protocols for emergency response and infection control.
• Educate patients and families on post-discharge care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
• EPIC electronic health record system experience preferred.
• Ability to work 3 consecutive 10-hour day shifts.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment.
