Contract | Night Shift | Every Other Weekend / Every Other Holiday

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Labor and Delivery setting throughout the night shift
• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum periods
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and assist with interventions as needed
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure eligibility
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required or must be obtained prior to start

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Familiarity with fetal monitoring and interpretation
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification preferred
