Maintenance Director - Full Time

Overview

The Gardens of Statesville is seeking a skilled and proactive leader to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility and ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. In this role, you will lead maintenance planning, direct day-to-day operations, manage preventive maintenance programs, and support a high standard of service across the property.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all maintenance activities, including routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and emergency response.
• Develop and implement maintenance plans to support the reliable operation of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Supervise, train, and support maintenance team members to ensure quality work and strong service delivery.
• Monitor work orders, assign priorities, and ensure tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Oversee inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and other facility systems.
• Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies while coordinating procurement as needed.
• Partner with leadership and other departments to support operational needs and project planning.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational procedures.
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate outside contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Track maintenance metrics, budgets, and documentation to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance leadership, facilities management, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, preventive maintenance practices, and general repair methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, organize work, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, vendors, and leadership.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems, work order software, or related tools is preferred.
