About the Position

Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 3 years hospital experience License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with Meditech charting system required Description: 5x8 shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM. 40 hours per week. On-call requirement includes nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call is typically 1 night per week. 2-3 weekend shifts are required every 6-week schedule. Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius. Responsible for assessing each individual patient upon admission to the operating room, addressing biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, discharge planning factors, and support for significant others/family as appropriate. Conduct ongoing assessments and identify patient needs/problems for nursing interventions. Develop individualized nursing care plans that meet the identified needs of each patient in the intraoperative setting.
