Telemetry Registered NurseMinimum experience: 2 years; 1st timers are acceptedPatient population: Adults to geriatricsCertifications required: BLS and ACLS required (NIH preferred)General skills and work setting requirements: Telemetry unit with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT/vascular issuesRatio/census: 1:4-5; 36 rooms with average daily census of 35Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBARScrub color: Navy blueRTO: MAX 7 daysRTO blackout dates: Spring break (April 4th-12th)Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhereFloating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as neededCall requirements: NoneHolidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years DayCompliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation scheduleClinical screen - Candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision.
