Program Assistant

Department :Distance Education Salary :$36,294 - $42,494 Job Summary The Program Assistant provides support services to a center or program. The Program Assistant provides resources and support to program constituents, provides administrative support and assists with all program related expenditures. Duties Serves as first point of contact for program constituents to discuss program policies, procedures, and other general information. Performs administrative duties such, but not limited to, assisting with program activities and events, preparing agendas, answering phones, records maintenance, data entry, travel, etc. Prepares various program expenditure documents and other reports. Assists with functions and or projects specific and or unique to the program. Marginal Duties May assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising of part-time employees. Performs all other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct Reports: None Delegation of Work: N/A Supervision Given: N/A Qualifications Required Education: Associate's degree Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related job experience License/Certification: None required Preferred Qualifications None Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge: Knowledge of related trends, issues, and accepted practices. Skills: Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office and Excel. Strong analytical and problem solving skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community. Work Location and Physical Demands Primary Work Location: Works in an office environment. Physical Demands: Work is performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements; individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks.
