Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAGX, Inc. is a multi-disciplined environmental consulting company serving a diverse range of clients in the tri-state area. We are currently seeking applicants to fill several Environmental Technician positions.Duties of this position may include but are not limited to:Air monitoring for compliance with OSHA and EPA standardsAir, dust, and soil samplingAssessment of air quality to determine health hazardsPersonal air monitoring to determine exposure levelsProject oversightInspecting facilities for the presence of asbestos containing materialsNoise testingAnalytical sampling of air and bulk samplesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentCandidate must have a valid driver's licenseMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, and physicalMust be able to pass a criminal background clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSOSHA 10-hour training or equivalentExperience working in an industrial settingAvailable to work shifts, weekends, and overnight staysPREFERRED SKILLSGood verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsExperience using Microsoft Office and various applicationsAbility to work individually and with teamsDemonstrates a positive, self-motivated attitudePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe Environmental Technician position is physically demanding, which may require employees to do the following:Traverse stairways ladders, and rough terrainWear a respirator and pass a respirator clearance examWalk long distancesWork in extreme temperatures and inclement weather conditionsAccess crawl spaces and confined space environmentsJob Type: Full-time / Salary: From $18.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
