Job Title: Operations Technician I, Finishing Location: Oregon City, OR Shift: 2 Responsibilities Operate auto and manual cleaning and passivation line. Operate laser marking equipment. Perform product cleaning and visual inspection. Perform cleaning operations of castings using various sandblast equipment per tech card. Inspect and maintain blast cabinets, media, nozzles and hoses to ensure proper cleaning. Use conventional belting equipment for belting operations based on engineering drawings, e.g., Fiber‑wheel finish and/or Satin finish. Use air and/or electric handheld tools for grinding, deburring, or detailing confined areas or inside diameters of cylindrical parts. Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines. Determine proper media based on engineering drawings and work instructions and set machine parameters. Complete proper documentation including process routing card, salvage router and scrap forms. Transport product safely using hand truck, pallet jack, carts and tables. Maintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition. Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material and unusual conditions to department Supervisor or Lead. Follow safety rules and regulations and support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives. Dimensionally inspect work using appropriate tools (calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments, surface plates, etc.). Perform weekly housekeeping per 5S schedule. Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products. Reinforce safety expectations and ensure safety operating practices are demonstrated. Report issues/concerns to Supervisor and support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Complete all required training. Qualifications High School or equivalent (Preferred). No previous work experience required (Preferred). Manufacturing experience (Preferred). Knowledge & Skills Problem Solving – Working experience. Must be able to move equipment around the building – Frequently. Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders – Occasionally.Must be able to position oneself and move under/around/over equipment – Occasionally. Must be able to handle/adjust/inspect/position various items and equipment – Frequently. Must be able to communicate and exchange information with others – Frequently. Must be able to perform tasks that require repetitive handling/adjusting/inspecting/positioning of items and equipment – Frequently.
