Position Summary: We are in search of a skilled and committed Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform medical evaluations for veterans. This position is solely focused on independent assessments and does not include treatment responsibilities. Your duties will involve reviewing medical histories, conducting thorough evaluations, and completing VA-provided Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online platform. These evaluations will aid the VA in making informed disability decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Examine and interpret veterans' medical records through a secure web interface.
• Carry out detailed, non-treating evaluations of veterans to document their current health status.
• Fill out and submit DBQs using VA-specific templates to ensure all pertinent medical information is captured.
• Guarantee that all DBQs are comprehensive, precise, and submitted within 24 hours post-assessment.
• Evaluate up to four veterans each day.

Schedule: One day per month or two half-days every other week.

Compensation: Daily rate ranging from $1,200 to $1,400, based on experience.

• Adept at analyzing and synthesizing information from extensive medical records and physical evaluations.
• Efficient in time management, ensuring tasks are completed within deadlines while maintaining high quality.
• Proficient in digital documentation and record analysis.
• Committed to serving veterans and positively impacting their lives.

Requirements:

• Current MD or DO license with a focus on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R).
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; candidates with a completed two-year residency in a relevant specialty will also be considered.
• Excellent typing skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial.
