Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

• The Laboratory Technician is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and reliable data to onsite researchers.
• The Laboratory Technician provides direct laboratory support to onsite researchers for a wide range of routine and non routine operations, with the expectation of making method or parameter adjustments based on observed results.
• This person performs quality assurance tests on company products, recordes test results, prepares laboratory reports, and provides technical support to researchers during additive selection and fluid design.
• The Laboratory Technician uses a variety of laboratory equipment, including HTHP (High Temperature High Pressure) equipment, requiring a degree of acquired skills in drilling fluids and cement testing.
• Set up, operate, maintain and calibrate special equipment following manufacturer's instructions with limited supervision.
• Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
• Ensure that laboratory equipment is in clean, working condition and that waste is regularly disposed.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance on lab equipment following our safety standardsMaintain laboratory databases and prepare chemical samples.
• Perform regular audits to ensure the laboratory operates according to required standards.
• Assist the Design/Technical Engineer and Product Champions with technical support as required.
• Perform risk analysis before each task or job to identify and mitigate potential safety or quality concerns.
• Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
• Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
• Maintain the required safety training.

Experience

• 2 year Associate Degree & 3 yrs of exp as HTHP in Cementing Laboratories
• Experience with Equipment Maintenance and Calibration
• Microsoft Office exp. excel and data entry, and report tracking
