Associate Commercial Attorney

A nationally respected firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of experience to join its growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact, complex cases alongside some of the most accomplished litigators in the country.

About the Role

This associate will play a key role in all phases of litigation, from pre-filing investigation through trial and appeal. The position offers substantial hands-on experience, including opportunities to take depositions, appear in court, and contribute meaningfully to case strategy. Associates are given early responsibility and supported within a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all stages of litigation, including case development, pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Draft complaints, briefs, and legal memoranda
• Conduct and defend depositions and manage complex discovery, including ESI
• Work closely with experts and assist in trial strategy and execution
• Engage in client interaction and case intake efforts
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple offices

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of commercial litigation experience
• California Bar Admission
• J.D from accredited school
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Experience handling depositions and court appearances
• Familiarity with complex discovery and electronic discovery processes
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset
• Federal clerkship experience is a plus, but not required
