Bus Driver

Operates bus on designated route and schedule, transporting only authorized students. Routes, buses and times may vary. Performs daily pre-trip inspection on assigned bus. Maintains proper student discipline according to district policies and department procedures. Keeps assigned bus clean and fueled. Completes pre-trip logs, mileage, maintenance, accident and discipline reports as required and/or requested. The district provides training to obtain necessary licensure.

Applicants must be a high school graduate or hold GED. Have a valid Minnesota driver's license with a good driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience (in any type of vehicle) for Bus Driving Position. Prefer individuals available to work mornings and afternoons. Enjoy working with children. Demonstrates and role models positive, safe and responsible behavior. Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

Compensation / Benefits: According to contractual agreement (based on 2025-27 contract) Bus Drivers: $24.90 - $27.28 Hourly. All employees eligible for retirement plan; positions of 23 or more hours per week eligible for health, dental, life and long-term disability insurance plans. If benefit eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment. Some employee groups also receive vacation, holidays or personal leave.
