Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of experience in a relevant setting. Some level 1 or 2 experience preferred. Must have demonstrated experience with a patient ratio of 1:5 or better in the Work History section. License: Active state RN license or compact license is required. Certifications: BLS ACLS Chemo certification preferred, but not required. Must-Have: Oncology experience. Must have EPIC experience. Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips. Nurses will be fitted for N95 prior to working on specialized units unless alternative equipment is offered. Availability to float to all Stepdown/Advanced Care units as required. Availability to work every other weekend and holiday. Description: This is a medical and radiation oncology unit specializing in oncology and hematology patients. The unit sees both Med Surg and Advanced Care patients with mixed acuity. A significant number of patients will require blood products and chemotherapy. Candidates should be comfortable with skills such as drips, PCAs, and wound care. RNs on the unit with ONS Certification will administer chemotherapy. Patient ratios vary and can be between 1:4 to 1:6 depending on acuity. Floating to other specialty clusters may be required based on patient needs. This position involves working with an interdisciplinary team including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more. Candidates must be willing to float to other areas based on census.
