Compensation Starting at $28/hour DOE - plus additional $6.25 3rd shift pay differential Job Openings Maintenance Mechanic - Maintenance - Forest Lake, Minnesota Department: Maintenance Employment Type: Full Time Minimum Experience: Experienced Position Overview The Maintenance Technician supports all manufacturing and industrial operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, improving, and repairing manufacturing equipment and assisting with building maintenance. Essential Job Functions (required Duties And Responsibilities) Installs, maintains, and repairs facility equipment and systems, including but not limited to packing and line machines, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, air compressors, plumbing and HVAC systems, etc. Supports the production department with proper machine operation, troubleshooting, and changeover activities. Follows all safety and SOP regulations and procedures, including Mustad Performance Systems (MPS). Assists in solving breakdowns with records and maintaining sufficient and cost-effective inventories of parts and supplies. Ensures all hazardous materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled properly and that all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained and updated as required. Provides documentation as needed, including data entry into PM software and all documents related to TPM (MPS). Performs preventative maintenance on an established schedule, including testing on energized electrical equipment. Works according to TPM standards (MPS). Performs other duties as requested by management. Education, Experience, And Skills Requirements High school diploma or GED Training and/or certification in electrical, mechanical, or another related field with basic knowledge in PLC and robotics 5+ years of general maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and correcting problems with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, pumps and motors, control circuits, and power supply, may be considered in lieu of formal training. Demonstrated skills in operating hand and power tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent problem-solving skills and blueprint and schematic interpretation Ability to read, write, and comprehend English verbal and written instructions Computer and MS Office. CMMS software (maintenance software M pulse) Desirable Skills/Attributes (preferred But Not Required) Advanced PLC programming and robotics skills Robotics, Automation Zero failure analysis tools Physical Demands Prolonged periods of standing and walking Ability to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, balance, reach above shoulders, crouch, and frequently use hands to feel, handle, touch, or manipulate Specific vision requirements for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 75 pounds. Work Environment Factory setting with exposure to heat, humidity, dust fumes, gases, toxic/caustic chemicals, airborne particles, and significantly loud noise Exposure to moving mechanical parts on line, as well as moving equipment throughout the factory Mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which the company provides Infrequent exposure to heights Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
