Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.Selected candidate will be required to:- Perform floor support and repair support to solve immediate production constraints- Develop corrective actions to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU)- Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes- Implement cost reduction initiatives- Take complex technical issues and drive to resolution- Other Manufacturing Engineering standard work (Tool Trial Runs, Work Around Plans, etc.)- Developing/ Maintaining/ Improving our Standard Operating Procedures- Coordinate with cross functional teams- Maintain and ensure compliance to AS9100, Command Media, and any other applicable regulations- Must be a US CitizenThis position will support the F-35 program, C-130 program, F-16 program, or the Machine ShopProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering) from an acreddited CollegeStrong ability in written and verbal technical communication skills.
