Reports To: General Manager
Maple House — Weekend Front of House Manager
Maple House is seeking a hands-on Weekend Front of House Manager to lead our busy breakfast and lunch service. We need someone who stays calm under pressure, takes initiative, and holds the team accountable while making guests feel welcome.
Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, from opening through closing duties. Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead servers, hosts, bussers, runners, and baristas throughout service.
- Assign sections, stations, and side work before each shift.
- Manage seating, waitlists, and guest flow in coordination with the host.
- Stay on the floor, anticipate problems, and step in wherever needed.
- Communicate with the kitchen about ticket times, special requests, and service issues.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure food and drinks reach guests accurately and promptly.
- Keep dining areas, the patio, and service stations clean, stocked, and organized.
- Coach employees and address performance issues respectfully and consistently.
- Follow restaurant procedures for payments, discounts, voids, and cash handling.
- Oversee closing duties, verify completed side work, and manage timely clock-outs.
- Give ownership a brief shift report covering guest concerns, staffing, and follow-up needs.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience; high-volume breakfast or brunch experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and guest service skills.
- Ability to make decisions and keep the team organized during a rush.
- Comfortable using Toast POS or willing to learn.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work on your feet throughout a busy shift.
Compensation: Based on experience.
We’re looking for a manager who takes ownership of the floor, supports the team, and follows through without needing constant direction.
