Registered Nurse- Clallam Bay

Registered Nurse (RN) Clallam Bay Corrections Center (CBCC), Clallam Bay, WA Schedule: Saturday‑Wednesday graveyard position (9:50 PM‑6:20 AM) – Thursday and Friday off. Compensation: Monthly salary range $7,832.00–$12,839.00; hourly rate $45.01–$73.79. Shift Differential: $2.50 per hour for evening and night shifts. Additional premiums: $1.00 per hour for 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, $3.00 per hour for Friday midnight–Sunday midnight. Responsibilities Access, monitor, and interpret objective and subjective data. Develop nursing diagnoses and outcomes based on nursing intervention. Plan delivery of health care, defining timeframes and pathways, prioritizing and sequencing care. Implement care plans by providing direct patient care and directing others regarding urgency, timeframes, and methods of care delivery on and off site. Analyze and evaluate structure, process, and timeframes of service delivery, revise plans as necessary. Employ appropriate safety techniques for pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying loads. Delegate and assign tasks to other staff, supervise, and evaluate task implementation. Communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and electronically with incarcerated individuals, families, health care personnel, custody, and institutional staff. Maintain confidentiality of health records and accurate, legible, complete patient care records. Provide emergency medical care including CPR, using triage format. Assess subjective and objective symptoms, initiate interventions per policies and protocols. Administer medication, dressing changes, vital sign monitoring, specimen preparation, IV therapy, and minor surgical assistance. Self‑evaluate and practice professional nursing conduct, remain on duty until replacement arrives. Establish therapeutic relationships, counsel, teach, and assist incarcerated individuals. Participate in the Correctional Healthcare Team, including on‑the‑job training and quality improvement activities. Work voluntarily and mandatorily on overtime, callback shifts as necessary. Training and Evaluation Under close supervision, Registered Nurse 1 will complete a 12‑month training plan to achieve competency as a Registered Nurse 2. Evaluations occur at 6 months and 12 months during the RN 1 training level, followed by a 6‑month trial service with a 4‑month performance review. Required Qualifications Unencumbered licensure in Washington as a Registered Nurse. Or unencumbered Multi‑State Compact license plus completion of Suicide Prevention, EDIR training, and MLS demographic survey. One year experience as a registered nurse. Training in American Heart Association CPR. Proficiency in computer‑based programs for scheduling, monitoring, data entry, and communication. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Desired Qualifications Experience in an acute care setting or a correctional facility. Certification as a Correctional Healthcare Professional. On‑Call Requirements Available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Willingness to work at least 8 shifts per month. Provide written availability by the 5th of each month. Willingness to complete paid six‑week core training (not required).
