Merchandising Lead

Sam's Club 1527 Manhattan Blvd, Harvey, LA 70058-3405 Position Summary Provides member service by acknowledging the member and identifying member needs, providing guidance and support related to self‑service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving member issues and concerns, and promoting the company's products and services. What you'll do Assist management with supervising associates, assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes, and providing direction to ensure member complaints are resolved according to company guidelines. Receive and stock supplies and merchandise, maintain the sales floor using equipment and merchandising best practices, and complete required logs and documentation. Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift and hazardous material procedures, and reporting unsafe situations. Ensure the sales floor presentation meets company policies, handle claims, returns, zoning, stocking, and pricing of merchandise. Monitor food and merchandise quality, ensuring rotation, coding, dating, recalls, and sanitation standards are met. Oversee picking and staging of club pickup orders throughout the day. Develop processes and improve business outcomes, collaborate with managers and partners, analyze information, monitor progress, and identify improvement opportunities. Lead and participate in teams, share resources, coordinate assignments, provide feedback, and model adaptability to new challenges. Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance; act in a self‑less, humble, and honest manner; and put customers first while balancing priorities. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older. 6 months retail experience AND 6 months customer service experience. Preferred Qualifications Leading a team, supervising experience to include hiring, evaluating, mentoring, developing, and managing the workload of others.
