We're looking for a Line Cook who is reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused. You're someone who takes pride in preparing food that looks and tastes right every time. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen and can follow recipes and portion standards consistently while keeping your station clean and safe. You're comfortable working closely with fellow back-of-house team members, sushi chefs, and front-of-house staff to keep service moving. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with health department regulations and company policies. Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage, and rotation procedures using FIFO practices. Support efficient kitchen operations by coordinating with fellow BOH team members during peak service periods. Assist with food preparation, restocking, and daily opening and closing duties as assigned. Communicate clearly and professionally with BOH and FOH team members to keep service running smoothly. Monitor food quality and immediately report issues or shortages to kitchen leadership. Follow all safety standards, including knife safety, equipment use, and proper sanitation practices. Maintain a positive, team-first attitude and contribute to a respectful, collaborative kitchen culture. What's In It for You Compensation: $22.25/hr. + Tips Medical insurance: coverage begins the first of the month following two consecutive months of full-time employment. Requirements What You Bring 1+ year of line cook or kitchen experience preferred; we're willing to train the right candidate. Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment. Strong time-management skills and attention to detail. Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented mindset. Washington State Food Worker Card required, or must be obtained within 14 days of beginning work. The Physical Stuff Kitchen-based work environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to regularly bend and reach and to perform repetitive motions such as chopping, stirring, lifting, and plating. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently (ingredients, equipment, containers). Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp tools, cleaning chemicals, wet surfaces, and moderate-to-high noise levels. Use of required PPE, including non-slip footwear. Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on business needs. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
