General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

· Number of Beds – 8 inpatient beds + 8 admission unit beds typically but occasionally flex up to 12 inpatient beds depending on overall hospital census

· Number of Staff – 10

· Type of staff:

o Day Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca

o Night Shift – 1 chg, 2 rn, 1 pca

· Patient Ratios – maximum 6:1

· Type of equipment – standard

· EMR – meditech

· Unit currently consists of Med/Surg Pt's

Typical hiring profile

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

· Acute med/surg experience 1+ years within the last year

· Ability to care for 4-6 patients at a time

Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

· Acute med/surg experience 2+ years w/in the last year

Would prefer RN's w/ortho or neuro-surgery background. Med/Surg/Telemetry background would suffice.

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):

· Care of med/surg pt's

· Standard nursing skills: IV insertions, urinary catheter insertion/maintenance, central line maintenance; medication administration; communication with all members of care team; documentation in EHR

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: RN , ACLS, NIH Certification
