Assistant General Manager – High-Volume Restaurant

Brick, NJ | Up to $65,000 + Catering Commission | 5-Day Work Week

Are you a hands-on restaurant manager who loves being on the floor, developing a team, and creating a great guest experience?

A successful, high-volume restaurant in Brick, NJ is looking for an Assistant General Manager to join its leadership team. This is a great opportunity for an energetic restaurant leader who wants more than just another management job—you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact on operations, help grow the business, and earn additional income through catering sales.

This is a breakfast and lunch-focused operation offering a structured 5-day work week and the opportunity to join a stable business with room for growth.

What You’ll Do

• Help lead daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
• Be a visible, hands-on leader on the floor during busy periods
• Train, coach, and motivate FOH team members
• Build schedules while maintaining appropriate staffing and labor levels
• Deliver a consistently strong guest experience
• Help grow the restaurant’s catering business and manage catering orders from inquiry through execution
• Build relationships with local businesses and the surrounding community
• Assist with social media content and help showcase the restaurant on Instagram and TikTok
• Work closely with the BOH team to maintain speed, quality, and consistency
• Step in where needed to keep the operation running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of restaurant management experience
• Strong FOH leadership and guest-service skills
• A hands-on management style—you enjoy being part of the action
• Experience in a busy restaurant environment
• Strong communication, organization, and team-building skills
• Interest in catering, local marketing, or business development
• Comfortable with social media and willing to help create engaging content
• Independent restaurant experience is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary up to $65,000
• 10% commission on catering sales after 90 days
• 5-day work week
• Approximately 50–55 hours per week
• Breakfast and lunch-focused operation
• Additional earning potential through catering growth
