Job TitleJob DescriptionResponsibilities:Design & Build: Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable .NET and Angular-based web applications, contributing across the full technology stack.Technical Leadership (Hands-On): Contribute to architectural and design decisions, ensuring maintainability, performance, and reliability.Code Excellence: Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code; participate in code reviews and uphold engineering standards and best practices.Documentation: Create and maintain clear technical documentation, including system design, architecture decisions, and code-level documentation to support long-term maintainability.Migrations & Upgrades: Design and execute application and database migrations, including schema changes, data transformations, and framework/runtime upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption and data integrity.Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product owners, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver robust and scalable solutions.Agile Development: Participate in all phases of the SDLC using agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.DevOps Contribution: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines; support automated build, release, and deployment processes.Quality Focus: Develop and execute unit tests; contribute to debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.Mentorship & Influence: Provide technical guidance and informal mentorship to peers; contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.Required Skills:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.Professional Experience: 7–10+ years of hands-on software development experience in modern web application development.Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in C# and ASP.NET CoreExperience building front-end applications using Angular (or similar frameworks)Strong experience with Oracle databases, including schema design, query optimization, stored procedures, and schema/data migrationsSolid understanding of RESTful APIs and service-based integrationsDevOps & ToolingExperience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps or similar)Familiarity with build automation, release pipelines, and deployment processesExperience supporting automated deployment of application and database changes, including migration/versioning strategiesStrong experience using Git and modern branching/merging strategiesEngineering PracticesExperience with unit testing frameworks and the ability to write effective unit testsStrong debugging, problem-solving, and performance tuning skillsCommitment to clean code principles, maintainability, and peer code reviewsExperience creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specs, code documentation, and operational guidesExperience planning and executing safe, repeatable code and database migrations, including rollback strategiesAdditional StrengthsAbility to effectively utilize AI coding assistants to enhance productivity and code qualityStrong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teamsDemonstrated curiosity and a continuous learning mindset toward new technologies and practicesAbout UsManagement Science Associates, Inc.
