Hourly Pay Range $36.00 - $55.80 per hour, determined by expertise and years of experience. Position Registered Nurse – Per Diem Location LOH Mill Street, Naperville Per Diem Hours Days per Diem Commitment Level Per Diem Level 1: 32‑72 hrs. per 6‑week schedule What you will do Regularly perform duties of a professional nurse, assessing patients’ conditions and developing and administrating care plans. Document care administered and evaluate patient care outcomes. Warmly welcome patients to the unit and promote a safe, therapeutic milieu by providing appropriate supervision and feedback. Ensure rounds are assigned and precaution records completed in real time. Collaborate with the Resource and Referral Department to facilitate patient admissions and transfers. Request and provide thorough hand‑off communication upon admission, transfer, discharge, and when sending or receiving boarding patients. Interact with patients, their families, and healthcare providers to collect and analyze data regarding physical, psychosocial, environmental, self‑care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs. Participate in development of the interdisciplinary planning process. Ensure medical problems are incorporated into the treatment plan. Assist in developing and attaining nursing department goals and objectives. Participate in activities to improve department functioning and enhance professional competence. Assist in the selection and orientation of qualified personnel. Participate in program evaluation and attend in‑service programs and training. Serve as a role model and central resource for students and staff. Utilize opportunities with community groups to further knowledge of mental health problems. Supervise direct patient care as required. Work within budgetary constraints, including staffing, overtime, supplies, and equipment. What you will need Education, Skills, and Experience Required: Nursing degree; maintain highly confidential information. Preferred: One‑year psychiatric experience; basic knowledge of abnormal psychology in psychiatric population; familiarity with therapeutic level system and rewards/consequences system. License/Certification Required: Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license; Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association or Red Cross; CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire.
