Office Equipment Available: Fully Equipped Emergency Department
Specialty Backup Available: Over 27 Medical Specialties Including Women's Services, Behavioral Health, Inpatient and Outpatient Services
Support Staff Available: 10 Hours of NP/PA Coverage Daily, 24 hours of physician coverage daily
Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Compensation & Benefits: Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered
Required Procedures: Evaluation and management of emergency medical conditions across all age groups; Stabilization and treatment of medium acuity cases; Coordination with specialty services as clinically indicated
Job Requirements: Licenses: Active Tennessee Medical License; Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Board Certification Preferred); DEA: Active Tennessee DEA Required; Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required if Not ABEM Certified; Experience: Prior Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred
Duties & Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a community hospital setting; Manage patient flow in a 24-hour physician coverage model; Collaborate with NP/PA providers and multidisciplinary staff; Document all encounters accurately within McKesson Allscripts EMR; Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
