**Senior Project Manager – Transportation (NJDOT)****Location:** New JerseySTV is seeking an accomplished **Senior Project Manager** to lead major transportation infrastructure projects for the **New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT)** and other public-sector clients. This is a leadership opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer with a proven history of managing complex transportation projects from planning and preliminary engineering through final design, construction, and project closeout.The successful candidate will oversee multidisciplinary teams, maintain responsibility for project performance, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.**What You'll Do****Project Leadership & Delivery*** Lead large, complex transportation infrastructure projects from Preliminary Engineering through Construction Completion.* Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to ensure successful delivery.* Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, subconsultants, and technical specialists.* Oversee preparation and delivery of design documents, engineering reports, and project submissions.* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.**Client & Stakeholder Management*** Build and maintain strong relationships with NJDOT, NJTA, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and project partners.* Facilitate collaboration among project teams, clients, and stakeholders.* Lead project meetings and provide clear communication on project status, risks, and milestones.* Support public outreach initiatives and stakeholder engagement activities.**Regulatory & Technical Oversight*** Ensure compliance with NJDOT, FHWA, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements.* Manage environmental review efforts and coordinate NEPA documentation and approvals.* Oversee quality management processes and adherence to transportation design standards.* Provide technical guidance on highway, bridge, structural, traffic, utility, and roadway improvement projects.**Construction Support*** Support construction engineering and inspection activities during project delivery.* Review shop drawings, construction schedules, and contractor submissions.* Coordinate Change of Plans and other construction-phase engineering activities.* Work closely with construction teams to resolve technical challenges and support successful project execution.**Required Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.* **Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Jersey.*** 15+ years of progressive transportation engineering and project management experience.* Demonstrated experience managing major transportation projects for NJDOT, NJTA, or similar public agencies.* Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.* Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple stakeholders.* Successful management of a NJDOT project as PM through construction**Preferred Experience**Successful candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:**Transportation Design*** Highway and roadway design* Geometric design* Drainage and stormwater systems* Traffic engineering and roadway safety* Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)* Pavement design* Maintenance and Protection of Traffic (MPT)* Right-of-Way (ROW) engineering* Utility coordination and relocation**Structural Engineering*** Bridge replacement and rehabilitation* Geotechnical and foundation design* Retaining walls* Structural and substructure design**Environmental & Regulatory*** FHWA and NEPA processes* Environmental documentation and agency coordination**Construction Engineering*** Shop drawing reviews* Construction schedule reviews* Change of Plans development* Construction-phase coordination and support**Why Join STV?*** Lead some of New Jersey's most significant transportation improvement programs.* Work directly with NJDOT, NJTA, and key public-sector stakeholders.* Manage multidisciplinary teams on high-visibility infrastructure projects.* Play a critical leadership role in improving transportation networks across the region.Compensation Range:$160,647.46 - $183,597.09**STV offers the following benefits** • Health insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable) • Disability insurance • Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment • 401(k) Plan • Retirement Counseling • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Back-Up Dependent Care • Parental Leave • Continuing Education Program • Professional Licensure and Society Memberships #J-18808-Ljbffr
