Architectural Job Captain

Overview An Architectural Job Captain prepares design and construction documents under the supervision of experienced staff. These assigned tasks are completed with limited direction. The role includes preparing planning, building and health permit submittals, and reviewing and responding to contractor RFIs and submittals. A Job Captain may delegate and guide Architectural Associates in their assigned work. Typically, this role requires three or more years of experience in an architectural office. Responsibilities Prepare design and construction documents under supervision. Prepare planning, building and health permit submittals. Review and respond to contractor RFIs and submittals. Delegate and guide Architectural Associates in assigned work as needed. Qualifications Education Graduated with a degree in Architecture or a related program Experience 5+ years of experience working under a licensed architect in a design or production role Experience coordinating with other consultants Skills/Abilities Intermediate level of competency in AutoCAD and Revit Self-motivated with a high level of accountability Excellent written and spoken communication skills Attention to detail and solid understanding of construction means and methods Developing presentation and project management skills Other Requirements Some travel required for site visits and meetings #J-18808-Ljbffr
