Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring 2+ years of critical care/cath lab experience and NC or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Community based teaching hospital in High Point, NC with 351 licensed beds and no trauma designation
• Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center designations
• Cardiac Catheterization Lab handling 5-15 cases per day
• Handles high acuity cases including STEMI, Impella, IVUS, OCT, IABP, and RFR procedures
• 10-hour day shift schedule (7a-5:30p), 40 hours per week
• Rotating on-call shifts required: weekdays 1730-0700, weekends and holidays 7a-7a
• Weekend rotation every 5th weekend with holiday on-call rotation
• 3-person call team consisting of any combination of RN/RT/RCIS
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR and Hemosystem Hemodynamic Monitoring equipment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of critical care/cath lab experience required
• Minimum 12 months of core work experience in unit specialty area, with most recent experience within the last year
• Skills in dysrhythmia management and moderate sedation required
• Experience with perivascular and vascular cases required
• STEMI experience preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high acuity cardiac catheterization lab environment
• Manager will conduct a final clinical interview
• Orientation includes 1 week of New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of department-specific orientation
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility as locals are not accepted
• Returning employees/travelers must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year after working a permanent position
