About the Position

Job Title: Sonographer - Client Fetal Medicine Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Client Fetal Medicine Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: Minimum 2 years of MFM experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS, ARDMS-OB Must-Have: Experience with 4-chamber heart, LVOT, RVOT, Aortic arch, ductal arch, SVC-IVC, and 3 vessel view (3VV) Ability to handle and refer abnormal scans to pediatric cardiology Good attitude and empathy to support patients Description: Immediate start needed. Simplified interview process with manager approval. Very busy Client Fetal Medicine clinic with high patient volume. Unit consists of six sonography suites. Census is around 1000 scans monthly. Patient types include: Placental accreta/previa, multiples, biophysical profiles, eclampsia/preeclampsia, non-stress tests, prolapsed cords, congenital heart diagnoses, intravenous drug addiction, diabetes, in vitro fertilization, obesity, advanced maternal age, fetal demise, fetal anomalies, and abnormal fetal growth. There are no amniocentesis procedures performed. Sonographers will rotate scans with colleagues, managing a total of 40-50 patients on the schedule per day. Support is available from other experienced MFM sonographers and a medical assistant for rooming. A physician reads scans offsite. The department culture emphasizes teamwork and patient care. No on-call requirements or weekend rotations. The clinic is closed for major holidays. Scrub color is not specified, but professionalism is expected.
