Senior Project Engineer - Traffic/Technical Service Manager ms consultants, inc. – Raleigh, NC We are looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to complement our Transportation team in our Raleigh, NC office. The position will involve working directly with staff including engineers, technicians and administrative staff on pursuit, development, and execution of traffic engineering projects. You will work with many different ms team members within the Transportation Business Unit. What You’ll Do Perform traffic analysis and preparation of traffic studies, safety and reports Traffic Signal Design and Plan preparation Signing and Pavement Marking Plan preparation Traffic Management Plan preparation Provide assistance with feasibility studies, environmental planning documents, and proposing changes for highway projects to improve traffic efficiency and safety. Leading designated task assignments and reporting progress to senior staff Oversee final project plan and document preparation Communicate with clients and potential clients to obtain and execute projects to client satisfaction What You’ll Bring Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or University is required, or equivalent experience. Our ideal candidate will have the following: Professional Engineering License (PE) with ability to obtain PE license in multiple states Demonstrated traffic engineering experience Familiarity with MUTCD, and NCDOT policies and procedures Proficiency in MicroStation or AutoCAD Experience with HCS and GuideSign software Familiarity with Synchro, VISSIM, and Transmodeler software Ability to lead, provide direction and collaborate effectively in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills We offer a robust benefits package with options for health coverage, in addition to life insurance, long‑term care, and more.
