Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage electrical engineering projects of varying size and complexity across both residential and commercial markets. This role offers the chance to oversee projects from concept through completion while mentoring engineers, coordinating with clients, and delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and oversee electrical engineering projects from design through construction
2. Prepare load calculations, schematics, system reports, and construction specifications
3. Design electrical systems: distribution, lighting, UPS, grounding, life safety, fire alarm, and control systems
4. Coordinate ICAT services: communications, AV, security, structured cabling
5. Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to project teams
6. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations
7. Conduct quality control reviews, site visits, and shop drawing reviews when required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required
• 5+ years of industry experience; consulting engineering background preferred
• Experience with electrical system design for residential and commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of contractors, suppliers, and project management methods
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
• LEED accreditation and project management certification are assets
