Crisis Intervention Specialist
The VIOS Clinic
The Youth Justice Therapist provides comprehensive assessment and therapeutic services to incarcerated youth within an ODYS correctional facility.
Responsibilities include conducting in-depth bio/psycho/social assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
They collaborate with ODYS and court staff to ensure client needs are met, make treatment recommendations, and prepare discharge summaries.
The role requires strong clinical skills in crisis intervention, diagnosis, and mental health counseling, with proficiency in documentation systems.
Qualifications include a minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Social Work or Counseling, licensure (LSW, LPC, or MFT), and experience in therapy or assessments with youth.
Key competencies include cultural competency, professional ethics, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and technical proficiency.
Additional requirements involve maintaining documentation, adhering to confidentiality, participating in training, and establishing professional boundaries.
